From March – May the educational environmental art workshops are based at the World Financial Center’s Courtyard Gallery, every Wednesday 6-9pm and every Saturday 12-4pm, through the in-kind Sponsorship of Brookfield Properties/arts>World Financial Center-Arts. Also featured at the World Financial Center is an Hudson River Pageant exhibition featuring the growing of Michele Brody’s River Grass Skirts and headdresses. The visually dramatic growing of the skirts and headdresses with embedded native grass seeds on a copper pipe armature with drip irrigation system, is a living and changing artwork over several weeks. When they have grown, they are worn by dancers as the “River Grass” in the pageant.
